VF-84 Jolly Rogers — F-14 Tomcat Tribute Mug

Few squadron markings in Naval Aviation history are as instantly recognizable as the skull and crossbones of the VF-84 Jolly Rogers.

This premium 15 oz black ceramic mug was created as a tribute to the legendary squadron, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, and the men and women who served aboard and around America's carrier aviation force.

The wraparound artwork features a highly detailed F-14 Tomcat in classic Jolly Rogers markings, the unmistakable skull-and-crossbones squadron insignia, USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71, a subdued American flag backdrop, Naval Aviation imagery, and Operation Engraved Honor's signature dog-tag mark.

The black ceramic provides the perfect background for the silver, white, yellow and weathered-metallic artwork, giving the mug the appearance of a piece of aviation memorabilia rather than an ordinary coffee cup.

Whether displayed alongside military memorabilia or used for the first cup of coffee every morning, this mug was designed to help preserve a legendary chapter of Naval Aviation history.

Built for Tomcat Fans, Veterans & Collectors

The F-14 Tomcat represented an era when carrier aviation combined raw power, unmistakable styling and some of the most recognizable fighter squadrons in U.S. Navy history.

VF-84's black tails, gold trim and skull-and-crossbones markings made the Jolly Rogers one of the most famous Tomcat squadrons ever to operate the aircraft.

This design brings those elements together in a single commemorative piece created for:

U.S. Navy veterans
Naval Aviators and Naval Flight Officers
Former carrier sailors
Aviation maintainers
F-14 Tomcat enthusiasts
VF-84 veterans and families
Military aviation collectors
Aircraft and carrier history enthusiasts
Veteran gift buyers
Anyone who wants to help preserve American military aviation history

Featured Artwork

The design incorporates several elements inspired by the history and visual identity of Naval Aviation:

VF-84 Jolly Rogers
The legendary skull-and-crossbones squadron identity is featured prominently.

Grumman F-14 Tomcat
A detailed side-profile Tomcat serves as the centerpiece of the design.

USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71
Carrier imagery helps place the aircraft within the environment that made the Tomcat legendary.

Jolly Rogers Tail Markings
The black-and-gold tail treatment and skull-and-crossbones imagery immediately identify the squadron heritage.

Subdued American Flag
A weathered flag backdrop adds depth without overpowering the aircraft.

Naval Aviation Wings

Operation Engraved Honor Dog Tag

Together, these elements create a military aviation display piece rather than a simple squadron-logo mug.

Preserving Naval Aviation History

Aircraft eventually leave service.

Ships are decommissioned.

Squadrons transition to new aircraft or disappear altogether.

But the history created by the sailors, pilots, RIOs, maintainers, flight-deck crews and support personnel who served with them deserves to remain visible.

This military aviation collection was created to help preserve those aircraft, units and stories through artwork that veterans, families and aviation enthusiasts can continue to enjoy.

For many veterans, seeing an old squadron insignia or aircraft isn't simply nostalgia.

It represents a ship.

A deployment.

A crew.

A maintenance shop.

A flight deck.

A group of people they served beside.

That's the history we want these mugs to help preserve.
